One of the easiest ways to start the New Year off with a clean slate is to revamp your home decor. Consider decluttering your home first, and then rearranging preexisting items to see what new pieces you can add to your space. Here are a few pieces that I am currently coveting that will help transform your house into a place you can call home in minutes.
Seating: Moroccan poufs are an easy and inexpensive way to add additional seating to your space. This metallic version from Lulu and Georgia is so chic and comfy you won’t be able to resist adding one to your home.
Accessories: Accessories can help personalize a space and make it yours.
These agate coasters are all the rage right now and they look like a piece of art. I had to purchase a set in pink for my condo.
Finding the perfect tray for your space is like finding hidden treasure. Serving trays are definitely my thing, and whenever I am lucky enough to come across a stunning tray I have to have it. There’s nothing better than presenting items to your guests on a gorgeous serving tray.
Fragrance is really important for your space too. I tend to switch the candles in my condo seasonally (or with my mood), and since its a new year a new aromatic scent will help you relax and enjoy the comfort of your home.
Bookends are a great accessory and will instantly add character to your space. There are so many different bookends on the market; however, I think that this marble version from CB2 is a fresh modern version that will look great in any home.
Lighting: Try switching your current light fixture for a modern version like this pendant light from Lulu and Georgia. Pendant lighting can transform a room from dull to glam with very little effort.
Rosegold and Copper: I am currently obsessing over rose gold and copper furniture. This unique finish is not for everyone, but it definitely gets an A+ in my books. Mixing copper and rose gold pieces into your space is a great way to add a bit of old Hollywood glam.
Textiles: A new rug will completely change the look and feel of a room instantly. By adding colour, texture, and perhaps even a whimsical patterned rug to your rooms design will help ground the space and add that bit of chic you’ve been looking for. I am currently lusting over cowhide rugs and would love to incorporate a dalmation print version in my den, but unfortunately I have not found the perfect rug just yet… still searching!
I hope these tips and tricks will give you inspiration to help refresh your space. Enjoy! xo
