Post Memorial Day Green Smoothie

Memorial Day weekend has come and gone, and perhaps some of you had a generous amount of food, cocktails and sweets over the past few days leaving you stuffed or even worse bloated. To jump start your post Memorial Day cleanse (if you’re into that sort of thing) I thought I would share the recipe for my favourite green smoothie. Not only does this smoothie energize your body, but it also has a great source of fibre, protein, vitamins and antioxidants in it that you may not consume otherwise. I try to make this smoothie daily, but let’s face it life gets busy which means some morning’s I am left without my favorite green drink. However, I promised myself that I am going to make a conscious effort to start each day with this green smoothie and you should all do the same! Check out my green smoothie recipe below.


Tank: Lulu Lemon | Zip Up: Lulu Lemon, old (similar style) | Yoga Pants: Lulu Lemon |
Shoes: Nike | Lips/ Cheeks: Portofino Multistick by Nars

Ingredients (serves 2):

  • 2 banana’s
  • 1 1/2 cup Almond Milk (original)
  • 3 tbsp organic chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp acai powder
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 7 strawberries
  • 1 1/2 cup spinach
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1/4 cup mint
  • 9 ice cubes
  • Combine ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth
  • *Tip* blend ice with Spinach, Kale and Almond Milk first
