I love everything about Palm Springs, and whenever I think of this desert oasis, Coachella and music festivals come to mind. Though Coachella is held in Indio, California, Palm Springs is only a 30-minute drive away and about a 2-hour drive from LA.
When I was in Los Angeles, we took a day trip to Palm Springs, and on our way there I could not resist snapping a few pics with the windmills. These windmills are synonymous with Coachella Valley, and thousands are spread across the desert. Seeing them brought back memories of road tripping to Coachella, and the closer we got to capturing them the more we were blown away by the high winds- hence why I’m holding my hat in most of the shots.
I’ve travelled to Palm Springs, at least, a dozen times growing up, but I always stayed at my best friends house, so to experience the Parker Palms Springs was quite a treat. This adorable art deco hotel is loaded with amenities including croquet, bocce ball, spa services, pools, hammocks, cruisers and much more. The Parker is a pet-friendly hotel so when Winston and I visited we felt so welcome by their friendly staff. We had lunch at Norma’s, and our waiter presented a lovely made-to-order chicken dish for my fur baby :). Let’s just say Winston was in doggie heaven.
Since Palm Springs can be extremely hot during the day, consider wearing lightweight clothes, hats and a lot of sunscreen. I wore these J.O.A floral shorts and matching top. I love the nostaglic wrap style of these shorts and decided to pair my favorite Toga Pulla booties, (last seen here) that are currently sold out on Shop Bop but can also be found here & here with this outfit- talk about 80s flashback. To complete my look, I added this knit BP hat that is currently under $35, and my go-to black aviator Ray-bans. These sunnies come in several different colours including pink, blue and gold.
We also stopped by the house with the pink door before we left to go back to Los Angeles. This house is probably one of the most Instagram famous addresses in Palm Springs, and you can clearly see why- look at the cuteness overload. Art deco style homes line the entire street, and I am so in love with all of them <3.
