Toronto Fashion Week 2015

World Mastercard Fashion week has come and gone in the blink of an eye. This was my first year attending Toronto Fashion week, and I must say I enjoyed commuting to David Peacault Square from my home instead of a hotel as I often do for New York Fashion week. Hooray for local Canadian fashion events!
The photos above are some of the highlights of my week. I attended shows on day two and four of fashion week, and caught a behind the scenes look at models getting prepped for the Melissa Nepton show. I ended my week with the Fashion magazine awards show.
I decided to wear something casual on day two opting for leather leggings from Zara, a sleeveless mesh peplum top by Gracia, and a white motorcycle jacket from H&M. I completed the look with cobalt blue pumps by Schutz and an orange Lucite clutch from Zara to add a pop of colour. I attended the Vawk show that evening which was amazing. Fong used a lot of vibrant colours in this collection, fun cutouts and gorgeous silhouettes.
On day four I wore two toned cropped pants from M for Mendocino, a white racerback tank from Nordstrom, and a sheer blazer from a Melrose find in California. I added a fun Tory Burch clutch with ornate detailing and suede Jessica Simpson pumps that are a staple in my closet for every season. This look is effortless and extremely comfortable and not to mention pretty chic. I attended the Farley Chatto show that evening and enjoyed the extravagant furs showcased in this collection. Everything from the music, hair, makeup, lighting and the clothes was inspired by Russia. The bridal gown with fur embellishments showcased at the end of the collection was one of my favorite looks of the night.

Overall, my experience at Toronto Fashion Week was a success. I was blown away by all of the amazing Canadian talents and the anticipation of being able to get my hands on pieces from the Pink Tartan and Rudsak collections is killing me. I am so obsessed with all of the looks I saw on the runway, and I can not wait until the collections hits stores.

What were some of your favourite Fall/Winter 15 looks from this year’s 2015 World MasterCard Fashion Week?
