I am a huge believer in spontaneous trips, staycations and any excuse to travel somewhere new and exciting. I am off to Vegas for a bachelorette party and couldn’t be more excited!
After many years of traveling around the world I’ve slowly become a better traveler and have picked up a few tips and tricks along the way of how to dress and pack for any trip.

Tip #1: CLOTHING

Always wear comfortable clothing when you’re traveling, nothing’s worse than sitting on a long flight in tight clothes. I usually opt for a pair of leggings or yoga pants and a t-shirt. Also, remember to layer up, I don’t know about you lovelies, but I tend to get really hot on most flights especially if I’m constantly checking on Winston (like the nervous dog mommy that I am) which can increase the temperature in the cabin in no time. So scarves, light jackets, and cardigans that I can remove easily are the best options when flying.

TIP #2: CARRY ON

When I am traveling with Winston, I use a Samsonite rolling bag as a carry-on, so I can place his dog carrier on top of the bag and conveniently transport him around the airport. If I am traveling without my little dood, I use a tote like this Longchamp tote, or this Tory Burch tote. Inside of my carry-on’s, I pack all of my electronics (laptop, camera, head phones, charger), jewelry, beauty essentials (makeup, hand sanitizer, makeup remover wipes [extremely important.. its never a good idea to travel with makeup on believe me you will break out] and 3.5 oz of lotion), and allergy medication (I sometimes get terrible allergy attacks on flights).

TIP #3: SNACKS

I am the fattest skinny kid you will ever meet, and I get extremely HANGRY (hungry + angry) if I’m not constantly snacking! Most of my friends know when I’ve reached the point of being absolutely famished, and they’ll usually have snacks handy for me! However, when I am traveling alone, I buy a ton of snacks in the terminal along with a bottle of water to stay hydrated.

TIP #4: IN- CABIN COMFORT

I’m not a huge fan of the recycled blankets and pillows provided on the plane so I typically bring my own Hudson’s bay blanket with me (seen here) and a neck pillow.

I hope these tips help ease the chaos of traveling on your next trip. Let me know what some of your traveling tips are in the comments below!
