I think it’s safe to say baking donuts is officially a new passion of mine. I spent the last few days baking, dipping, drizzling, decorating, and testing different donut recipes until I finally found a recipe that survived the ultimate taste test! If you’re looking for last-minute, thoughtful gift ideas that are magically delicious, then try baking these cake donuts. Bake them, decorate them with holiday sprinkles, and add to a cellophane treat bag, and voila, you have Christmas goodies to spread the ultimate holiday cheer.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cake flour, sifted
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- pink of nutmeg
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
Directions:
Preheat over to 425
Prepare a donut pan with cooking spray
Place the sifted flour, sugar, light brown sugar, baking powder nutmeg, and salt in a large bowl. Stir to continue.
Adds eggs, buttermilk, and butter. Whisk until smooth. Pipe batter into Wilton baking pan.
Bake 9-10 minutes. Allow the donuts to cool for 4-5 minutes before removing the pan.
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup baking chocolate chips
Directions:
Place 1/4 cup of cream in a microwave safe bowl.
Microwave 1/4 cup of cream for 30 seconds
Add chocolate chips and mix until smooth.
Dip each donut into the chocolate. Top with sprinkles.
White Chocolate Glaze Ingredients:
- 3/4 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Directions:
Place 3/4 tbsp of cream in a microwave safe bowl.
Microwave 3/4 tbsp of cream for 20 seconds
Add white chocolate chips and mix until smooth.
Dip each donut into the white chocolate. Top with sprinkles.
