With Halloween right around the corner, we decided to get into the spooky season spirit by putting together a candy charcuterie board. Holiday themed charcuterie boards are quite popular and are easy to make.
The first thing to consider when creating your board is picking a theme. Focus on a color and halloween inspired decorative items that you can add to bring your theme to life. We opted for a dark a moody theme with our statement color being purple. Alternatively, you can keep it simple with a monochromatic theme instead.
Next choose a larger serving tray or cutting board to display your candy on. Pick your favourite Halloween candy to add, and make sure there is a variety of sizes, shapes and textures.
These are some of the items we used to make the charcuterie board:
Reese’s Miniature Chocolates | Gummy Worms | Darrell Lea Black Licorice | Creamy Caramels |
So grab that Halloween inspired martini you perfected making last year using these recipes, play Hocus Pocus, and get your charcuterie board making skills on. You can try the sweet version we’ve created or opt for a savoury classic charcuterie board with cheese and cured meats instead. Let us know if you create a candy charcuterie board on October 31st. Tag us on @prettylittlehangers and we’ll share your beautiful creations.
Happy Halloween!
