The Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards also known as CAFA, was a night to remember. CAFA is the one event where people can have fun with fashion while celebrating Canadian talent within the fashion industry.

This year I was thrilled to be dressed in a Narces gown by Toronto based fashion designer Nikki Yassemi. Nikki is passionate about designing unique one of a kind pieces from evening wear to bridal gowns. Not only is Nikki extremely talented, but from the moment we met she was so humble and kind which made it clear to me that she was a force to be reckoned with within Canadian fashion. I tried on several beautiful gowns at my fitting, and I must say it was very hard to narrow down a final look for CAFA. I ultimately chose between two gowns, the Gwen which was a fun and flirty two-piece look that includes a blouse and high low hem skirt and the winner the Faye a hand embellished printed organza floral gown from the colourful bridal collection. The Faye fit my body so well even CAFA guests frequently inquired if the dress was custom made for me throughout the night. The Gwen is available to purchase here and you can inquire about the Faye here.

Since CAFA is such a notable fashion event, I knew that I had to bring my ‘A-game’ and look my absolute best which meant working with a glam squad to complete my look. I turned to my favourite fairy glam mothers, Melanie and Agnes, to help me slay my hair and makeup. The inspiration behind my hair and makeup looks were Jasmine Stookes at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival and Kendall Jenner at the 2018 Met Gala. Yes- I am the client that always comes with inspiration photos. To complete the look I wore jaw dropping jewelry from Mark Lash and shoes from Aquazurra.
