I took a quick trip to San Francisco this past weekend for my aunt’s 60th birthday party. I flew into San Fran Friday evening, checked into my hotel, and grabbed a quick bite to eat with my mom before rushing to get ready for the party.
Though I went to San Francisco specifically for my aunt’s party exploring more of this beautiful city over the weekend was an absolute must for me. If you live in Southern California, and you’re craving a visit to the east coast or Canada, a weekend getaway to San Francisco can help cure that craving. With quaint cafes, colorful architecture and cypress trees lining the city’s peninsula it’s no wonder San Francisco is a popular destination in California.
Several highlights from my weekend include visiting Golden Gate Park, eating lunch at Rose’s Cafe, and making a pit stop at Jo Malone and the Bud Stop flower shop (you all know how much I love flowers). If you’re ever in the area and decide to visit Rose’s Cafe, I highly recommend ordering the fennel salami pizza, chopped salad, and a mint lemonade- all three things were delicious!
Just a heads up the weather is slightly cooler by the water near the Golden Gate Bridge and usually pretty windy (poor Winston almost blew away haha) so make sure you wear layers or a light sweater like this long sleeve cardigan by Graham to keep warm.
