Our Favorite Swim Collections From Miami Swim Week

The weather may be hot down south, but the swimwear is even hotter in Miami this month. Miami Swim Week wrapped last week, and all of the new collections are preparing us for the hot girl summer we prayed for a few months back! Brands such as Boohoo, Honey Birdette, Swim With Poppies, BFYNE, and more took the stage to showcase their new swimwear for 2021. We were most excited to see a variety of cuts, sizes, and patterns from select designers, paired with fun beach accessories grazing the runways this season. Below are some of our favourite collections from the week:

1.Boohoo: Fast fashion brand Boohoo introduced influencers such as Nikita Dragon, Charly Jordan, and Alexa Collins on the runway for their debut Swim Week show. Boohoo showcased styles such as criss cross triangle bikini tops, off the shoulder or one strap bikinis, and a mix of solid colours, tie-dye, and animal print patterns throughout their 2021 collection.

2. Honey Birdette : Honey Birdette’s swim line carries a variety of looks catered to a lingerie cut and style, making the swim wear both functional and versatile in styling. Additional details like garter straps, hardware, satin fabrics and textures caught our eye thus making the brand stand out in comparison to traditional swim lines.

3. Swim With Poppies: Swim With Poppies collection had an 80’s flare, bringing forward bright combinations of pinks and blue’s, paired with bold colourful jewellery. The cuts mimic 80’s workout sets from the past similar to what was worn some of the workout infomercials that were popular at the time. Pair Poppies swimsuits with fuzzy socks and a sweatband, and voila you have a fit from the past.

4. BFYNE : BFYNE is favoured amongst many celebrities like Beyonce and Alicia Keys. The brand was started by Buki Ade, a talented Nigerian American Designer, who describes the line as being beyond basic. BFYNE delivered both in inclusivity, and style by casting all black models to walk in the show this year, and offering a range of sizes. The collection consisted of warm orange and brown tones, bold prints, jaw dropping kaftans and statement hardware jewellery.
