We can all share a huge sigh of relief now that one of our favorite binge-worthy Netflix shows, Emily In Paris, has been renewed for a second season. If you haven’t had a chance to watch an episode, then do us all a favour and fire up your smart tv’s to find out what all of the hype is about. Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins moves to Paris for a new career opportunity at a French marketing firm. Emily’s life in Paris is dream worthy for most- from navigating life in a new country to slaying chic looks left and right, Emily is every 20 somethings poster girl. She is a representation of what some Millennial and Gen-Z women aspire to do – pack up and move overseas to start the next chapter in their lives.
Not only is Emily’s boldness inspiring, but her amazing sense of fashion is also noteworthy. Patricia Fields (the renowned costume designer that brought us the amazing looks in Sex in the City) , is the creative genius behind most of Emily’s outfits. After watching the show and falling in love with all of Emily’s looks we decided to adopt a few French-girl trends into our wardrobe to try to evoke that je ne sais quoi that only French women seem to pull of best.
Here are some of the French-girl fashion trends we vow to adapt in our wardrobes moving forward:
