Have you considered personalizing items from your wardrobe with patches? Since denim and accessory patchwork are a hot commodity this season, customization for your wardrobe is a cinch. If you’re unfamiliar with this trend just browse through your local retailer, and you’ll likely see these fun patches adorned on everything from bags, jeans, jackets, shirts, and shoes to pretty much any other offerings.
I love the idea of releasing your inner seamstress and updating an old look by finding the perfect patch and sewing it onto an old pair of jeans or denim jacket. If the thought of attaching patches on to your denim of choice is too daunting of a task for you, then perhaps purchasing a garment or accessory that already has patches on it like this Forever 21 jacket I’m wearing is your best bet. Though I did not design the patchwork on this jacket, the adorable Spanish themed patches like the pinata and cactus made this denim piece irressitable to me.
Adding patches to your wardrobe and accessories is so easy and fun so why not get creative and give one of the biggest accessory trends of the season a try.
