Gingham in High Park

Most people are surprised to learn that I love the great outdoors and that I appreciate all that mother nature has to offer each season. One of my favorite activities to do in the summer is go to High Park  and have a picnic underneath the beautiful cherry blossom trees.
Shirt: Club Monaco | Shorts: Club Monaco, ON SALE | Flats: Chanel, (similar here & here) | Sunglasses: Celine | Bag: H&M, ordering this one too | Bracelets: Tory Burch &  J. Crew
| Earrings: J. Crew, old (similar style here)
I don’t know if you’ve noticed but gingham is a huge trend this season, and I love having this pattern in my arsenal of summer favorites. Each time I see this classic print it reminds me of my youth.  I remember wearing the cutest pair of pink and white gingham capri pants from my favorite store, The Limited Too, on multiple occasions so you can probably imagine how nostalgic this pattern is to me and how happy it makes me feel when I wear it as an adult. These adorable scalloped gingham shorts are my favourite summer piece, and by no means was there any hesitation when I purchased them. These shorts come in black,  white, navy, chambray, stripes and several other colours.
I chose to pair my Club Monaco bottoms with this cute lightweight sleeveless sweater, but a classic white tee or chambray shirt would look great as well. Most of my tees are from Splendid. If you’re unfamiliar with the brand just note that Splendid initially set out to create the ultimate t-shirt. Most of Splendid’s shirts are unbelievably soft and super comfortable. This Splendid scoop neck shirt would compliment these shorts as well. My top choice for a comfortable yet stylish chambray shirt is J. Crew’s Always chambray shirt. I’ve had this J. Crew chambray shirt for many years, and the fabric has held up nicely considering its been washed plenty of times.
