With its signature pink and green aesthetics, Martinique wallpaper, and private bungalows, The Beverly Hills Hotel is a must-see if you're visiting Los Angeles for the first time. In fact, a trip to Los Angeles would be incomplete without having lunch poolside at the Cabana Cafe, or heading to the Polo Lounge for a refreshing cocktail. This iconic hotel is nestled in one of the city's hottest zip codes and is known for celebrity sightings. If the retro decor doesn't tickle your fancy, then the aura of old Hollywood glamor will likely leave you lusting for another visit.

I decided to have a delicious ahi tuna poke bowl for lunch at the Cabana Cafe instead of my usual dinner at the Polo Lounge on this trip. I wore this gorgeous silk duster jacket over an all black ensemble. I am obsessed with the color of this jacket and the unique chiffon sleeves. How amazing would it be to live in one of the Beverly Hills Hotel bungalows and wear gorgeous outfits every day while strolling around the gorgeous hotel grounds? A girl can dream right!

Nordstrom Opening Gala in Toronto

Dress: Free People, (similar style here) | Shoes: Aquazurra | Bag: Chloe, (similar style here) | Choker: Urban Outfitters, (similar style here) | Earrings: Winners | Lipstick: MAC (velvet teddy)

I attended the Nordstrom charity gala at the Eaton Centre Wednesday evening, and I cannot express how excited I was to finally have the privilege of going to this department store in Toronto. As the cocktails flowed, and the delicious hors d'oeuvres floated around guests were encouraged to explore the new store, mingle, and shop. Even though I was tempted to buy a pair of Gucci loafers that evening, I couldn't fathom the idea of carrying a shopping bag around during this glamorous event. If Gucci is not one of your favorite brands then maybe you'd like some of the other designers Nordstrom has to offer like Stella McCartney or Phillip Lim.

Besides offering shoppers a ton of designers to shop under one roof, Nordstrom also offers a compelling lineup of on-trend fashion finds at the best value which is why I've been a loyal customer for many years. Additional services available at this department store include personal stylists, beauty stylists, and on-site alterations. This refreshing approach to customer service is one of the reasons why Nordstrom maintains a competitive edge over other leading department stores in today's market.

So if you're looking for a new shopping experience unlike any other in Toronto, grab your friends and pop into the Nordies at Eaton Centre. Oh and don't forget to pick up a mocha banana ice storm at the coffee bar on the first floor on your way out.

For all of my Canadian followers, the Nordstrom Eaton Centre grand opening is today so make sure you go and tell me what you like best about this new location!

Fall Transitional Top Under $50

Shirt: Glamorous | Shorts: H&M, (similar style here) | Shoes: Steve Madden (ON SALE) | Hat: BP, (similar style here) | Belt: B-Low the belt | Purse: Gucci, (similar style here) | Sunglasses: Ray-ban, (similar style here) | Bracelets: Cartier (similar style here), Top Shop, (similar style here) & Alex & Ani

Happy Friday everyone! I wore this look to a friend's BBQ in Los Angeles over Labor Day Weekend, and it was the perfect outfit to wear in the California heat. I love this top for many reasons: it's less than $50, and it's super comfortable. I paired this top with my go-to H&M denim shorts that I've worn numerous times throughout the summer (last seen here and here), and these cool lace-up suede sandals. Though I styled this look for hot weather, imagine how easy transitioning this top into fall would be with jeans, booties, and a leather jacket.

I am super excited to see one of my Canadian besties in Los Angeles this Saturday. We always have a great time together and usually, plan a ton of activities to do like hiking, biking or shopping. This weekend we're meeting in Malibu which is one of my favorite cities in Los Angeles, and hopefully, we can have lunch at Nobu! What are your plans for this weekend?

Fall Staple: Cashmere Sweater

Sweater: Nordstrom SignatureON SALE | Jeans: J. Crew | Shoes: Tory Burch | Earrings: Baublebar | Watch: Skagen | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Ring: Baublebar | Lipstick: MAC (Please Me)

Fall is right around the corner, and there's no better way to prepare for the season than to stock up on cozy sweaters. Cashmere sweaters are one of my favorite knits to wear, but I find that they can be a bit pricey. However, purchasing a cashmere sweater is worth the investment to me. You can't go wrong with a classic piece that you will enjoy season after season.

Every year I add a new cashmere sweater to my wardrobe, and this year I decided to add this gorgeous gray v-neck to my growing sweater collection. I love the look and feel of cashmere, and since this sweater is currently 50% off I may get another one in blush. Not only is this cashmere sweater stylish, but it will keep you warm during the fall and winter months. This sweater is also perfect to throw on when the temperature drops on cool breezy summer nights, so I brought it to Los Angeles to wear on the beach.

I've spent a lot of time at the beach so far, but aside from the beach and shopping, of course, one of my favorite things to do in Los Angeles is to go to a good happy hour. If you're following me on Snapchat (@plhangers), then you probably saw the delicious cauliflower nacho snaps (even my server pre-warned me that some of the biggest "bros" in Hollywood loved this "girlie" kale infused dish) I posted from Petty Cash. If you're ever in West Hollywood I  highly recommend checking out this delicious Mexican restaurant.

I hope you all have a great labor day weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by! xo

New Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil

Having dry and aging skin is the last thing any woman wants. If you want to achieve a youthful, dewy glow, consider adding a beauty oil to your skincare routine. If you have oily skin like me, and you feel hesitant about applying oil to your face, don't be. I've been combining beauty oils to my moisturizer to keep my skin looking hydrated and youthful all summer.

Sure the thought of applying oil to my face terrified me at first especially since my skin is sensitive and prone to breakouts, but when used correctly, adding oil to my skincare routine proved to be beneficial for my skin. In fact, oil based products absorb into the skin better than water-based products meaning all of the incredible ingredients found in beauty oils will penetrate the layers of your skin deeper.

One of my current go-to facial oil's is Dermalogica's new phyto replenish oil. I mix about 4-6 drops with my moisturizer at night and even gave Dermalogica's DIY massage technique a try. This lightweight facial oil is plant based and combats dryness by rapidly absorbing into your skin helping strengthen your skin's natural barrier. Since adding the phyto replenish oil to my skincare routine, my face feels instantly hydrated and dewy. I'm looking forward to using this product all fall and winter long.

Want to try Dermalogica's Phyto Replenish Oil? If you use the code: PLHANGERS20 on dermalogica.com you can receive 20% off any Dermalogica purchase including the new Phyto Replenish Oil.

Home Decor Must Haves for Coastal Living

1. Marble Lamp | 2. Candle 3. Mirror 4. Coasters 5. Doormat 6. Side Table 7. Decorative Coral
8. Pillow 9. Coffee Table 10. Chandelier

Hello from California! I love coming to Los Angeles in the summertime and staying on the beach.  I've been busy decorating my beach house here, and I've been shopping on a few affordable home decor sites like Lulu and Georgia and Joss and Main quite a bit. Above are my top ten must haves for coastal living.

Transforming any space into a beach house is achievable even if your space is not near the ocean.

Here are five things to keep in mind when you are decorating a beach house:

1. Stick to a neutral color palette and add hints of color like turquoise to your space using accessories
2. Add subtle hints of beach-inspired accessories like seashells, and coral into your decor
3. Combine rustic pieces with contemporary counterparts
4. Stick to white linens and layer natural cotton and textured throws to create a warm, inviting space
5. Use sheer window treatments to allow natural light to flood your space

Happy decorating!

Weekend Getaway to San Francisco

I took a quick trip to San Francisco this past weekend for my aunt's 60th birthday party. I flew into San Fran Friday evening, checked into my hotel, and grabbed a quick bite to eat with my mom before rushing to get ready for the party.

Though I went to San Francisco specifically for my aunt's party exploring more of this beautiful city over the weekend was an absolute must for me. If you live in Southern California, and you're craving a visit to the east coast or Canada, a weekend getaway to San Francisco can help cure that craving. With quaint cafes, colorful architecture and cypress trees lining the city's peninsula it's no wonder San Francisco is a popular destination in California.

Several highlights from my weekend include visiting Golden Gate Park, eating lunch at Rose's Cafe, and making a pit stop at Jo Malone and the Bud Stop flower shop (you all know how much I love flowers). If you're ever in the area and decide to visit Rose's Cafe, I highly recommend ordering the fennel salami pizza, chopped salad, and a mint lemonade- all three things were delicious!

Just a heads up the weather is slightly cooler by the water near the Golden Gate Bridge and usually pretty windy (poor Winston almost blew away haha) so make sure you wear layers or a light sweater like this long sleeve cardigan by Graham to keep warm.

I am currently in Los Angeles, and boy is the weather hot! Have any of you visited San Francisco or California? I would love to know what are some of your favorite things to do in each city?
